100 Year Starship Invites to a Symposium
The organisation 100 Year Starship holds annual symposia about future interstellar expeditions. In 2013 and 2014 the theme was "Pathway to the stars, Footprints on Earth", while in 2015 it dealt with "Finding Earth 2.0".
Among the topics covered are:
- How to best design habitats, clothes and equipment for daily use on an interstellar voyage?
- Which strategy and technology is best suited to understand and overcome known and unknown obstacles during such an epic journey?
- How to optimise the selection of a target?
